Between 2015 and 2017 Clive operated Spiral Marine Design Limited in the UK offering subcontractor project management and naval architecture services. During this period Clive working with BMT Nigel Gee in the design and build of a pair of 70m LNG fuelled passenger vessels (MS Willem de Vlamingh and MS Willem Barentsz) and a single 90m Passenger Ferry (MV Alfred).

Clive’s role was to oversee development of the design as lead naval architect / project manager coordinating the activities of a team of around 20 technical personnel. All three vessels were built at Strategic Marine in Vung Tau Vietnam.
